Latest investments in the Kotelnica Białczańska

Since the last winter season skiers visiting the Kotelnica Białczańska Ski Resort can use the new cable railway (chairlift), the seventh in this resort and the ninth in Białka Tatrzańska. A modern lift is called Remiaszów and is marked on the map of the resort with the number IX. This is the second so modern lift, after the chairlift number VIII put to use the year before and located on the slopes of Jankulakowski Wierch.

The lifts numbered VIII and IX, built with the financial support of the European Union, are among the most modern in Poland. Both are equipped with 6-passenger heated benches, on which even 3,000 snow frenzy admirers can be carried in one hour. Both lifts have also an innovative system that allows the transport of children under the height of 125 cm. The system consists of automatically open and lockable controlled frame. In addition, there is also an adjustable belt conveyor used for picking travelers up. It automatically measures height of persons sitting on the chair to adjust its height to the lowest person. On a windy day at the disposal of travelers there are also automatically closed and opened bubble windshields.

The largest ski resort in the Podhale region does not relieve the pace and is already planning further investments, among them building a parking lot at the lift number IX, which can accommodate more than 500 cars. Until the parking lot near the newest ski lift is built, one may get there using a skibus, which is free of charge and runs every 30 minutes from the bottom station of the lift number I to the Remiaszów lift and back.

Ski schools

Qualified instructors of the STOK Ski School are responsible for the training of skiers, snowboarders and ski runners visiting the Kotelnica Białczańska Resort. Each training is carried out with passion, matching always the pace and frequency of lessons to the individual customer's predisposition. Training can be done in four foreign languages: English, German, French and Spanish.

Gastronomy

In the resort there are several regional inns and smaller food courts. The most popular place, located at the top of Kotelnica, is the viewpoint inn, which gives an opportunity of an unforgettable experience not only of taste, but also of aesthetics. It is located at an altitude of 917 meters above sea level and from its terrace you can enjoy a panoramic view of almost all the Tatra, Gorce and Pieniny mountain ranges. In the menu of the inn there are delicious and hearty dishes of Polish and regional cuisine. Specialties of the Kotelnica Inn are smoked ewe's milk cheese with cranberry sauce, sauerkraut soup, sour soup and dumplings from the Białka region.

Cross-country ski routes

Kotelnica Białczańska is the place where cross-country ski enthusiasts can also find something for themselves. Each winter, few kilometers of routes are prepared for them, beautifully located between the peaks of Kotelnica and Jankulakowski Wierch. This is the place where a great event – Red Bull Bandits’ Run is organized every year.

The main values of cross-country trails are lighting and snowing system. Four types of looped trails from 1250 meters to 4380 meters long have been prepared here.

Snowpark

Burton Snowpark in the Kotelnica Białczańska ski station is located next to the route no. 5 and is 300 meters long. It is one of the largest of its kind in the country and there are many so called jib obstacles, such as boxes and rails, as well as different types of ski jumps. In the park there are organized many sport events for both professionals and amateurs of the freestyle ride.

Snowpark is designed for beginners and advanced users and to use it safely, you should remember to wear a helmet and pads. Next to the snow park the T-bar lift is located, and the park route is illuminated so you can use it after dark.

The park area is groomed every day and prepared by a special team. The company ParkPirates is responsible for the Snowpark services, and it has been associated with snowboarding for 20 years.

TatrySki Pass

A common ski pass for skiing in different resorts! Our skiing guests do not always like to ski for a few days "from the same hill", hence the idea of introducing a common ski pass "TatrySki”, which covers the entire area.

This pass (as our southern neighbors say) “wields” not only on Kotelnica, Bania and Kaniówka, but also on Litwinka, Koziniec-Czarna Góra, Jurgów, in the Slovak ski Bachledova (Ždiar) and Palenica of Szczawnica. A common ski pass is, in a substantial part, also the Kotelnica’s initiative.

For those who cannot or do not want to use car, our station and sister stations provide free transport for skier with skibuses in the Białka Tatrzańska area, as well as from several nearby places.

Description of the resort
Kotelnica Białaczańska Ski Resort is the largest ski station situated in the Podhale region. Kotelnica has a great location, in the very heart of Białka Tatrzańska. It is an excellent choice both for those who have only started learning to ski or snowboard, as well as for the advanced enthusiasts of these sports.

In the resort there are 14 kilometers of routes with varied difficulty level, from the gently inclined slopes to the routes with the homologation of the International Ski Federation FIS. Cross-country skiers may also find here something for themselves, since there are several kilometers of cross-country trails prepared for them. The resort facilities are, among others, ski school, ski and snowboard rentals as well as services of ski and snowboard equipment. You can feel the highlander climate while visiting one of several regional inns.
